Nosh Powers Conversations on Growth, Compliance, and Simplified Spending at Nigeria Fintech Forum 2026

Nosh proudly served as a Platinum Sponsor at the recently concluded Nigeria Fintech Forum 2026, held at The Civic Centre, Lagos, on July 30, 2026. The event brought together leading voices in Nigeria’s fintech ecosystem to explore the trends, challenges, and opportunities shaping the industry.

Representing Nosh at the forum were Tosin Akintibu, Product Manager, as Keynote Speaker, and Mosadoluwa Hezekiah, Marketing Manager, as Panelist. Both took to the stage to share insights on product innovation and the evolving growth landscape in fintech.

Simplifying Spending: A Product Perspective

In her session, Tosin Akintibu unpacked how Nosh is designing for simplicity in an increasingly complex spending landscape, walking attendees through the product thinking behind making everyday financial transactions, from gift card trading and crypto conversion to bill payments, seamless for users across Nigeria and Ghana.

She argued that the real gap in fintech isn’t getting people digital assets, it’s making those assets usable in daily life.

Akintibu also pushed back on an industry habit of equating growth with feature count.

“Our job is to remove friction, not add features for the sake of it. Every decision we make on the product side starts with one question: does this make spending simpler for our users?”

From Acquisition to Revenue: A Shift in Growth Thinking

Mosadoluwa Hezekiah joined a panel discussion addressing some of the industry’s most pressing strategic questions, including how fintechs are recalibrating their growth playbooks as the sector matures.

When asked whether Nosh has shifted its growth strategy as the industry moves from acquisition-led to revenue-led thinking, Hezekiah noted that the shift is less about abandoning acquisition and more about building on top of it.

“Acquisition got us in the door, but sustainable growth means designing for retention and lifetime value from day one. We’re increasingly building campaigns and product touchpoints that convert first-time users into loyal, repeat users, because in this market, trust compounds.”

On communicating a compliance-first posture without undermining the growth story, Hezekiah stressed that compliance and growth aren’t in tension when they’re framed correctly.

“Customers don’t want to hear ‘compliance’ as a caveat; they want to feel it is reliable. We talk about security, licensing, and regulatory alignment as part of what makes Nosh a platform people can trust with their money, not as a fine print that slows things down.”

Speaking to whether customers notice the infrastructure behind a platform like Nosh, Hezekiah observed that most of it stays invisible by design, and that’s the point.

“Customers don’t wake up thinking about our infrastructure. They notice when a transaction is instant, when a rate is fair, and when support actually helps. Our infrastructure earns its keep by being invisible; the moment it becomes visible, something’s usually gone wrong.”
