Checking my Glo data balance using USSD Code is the method I use most. Dial *323# and press call. My balance and expiry date pop up in seconds. This same USSD is what the NCC has approved for other networks in Nigeria like MTN and Airtel.
One unique thing aspect for Glo customers is that we have two USSD options in checking data balance:
- Dial *323# to see your main and bonus Glo data balance.
- Dial *312#, the Glo data menu, and select the “Data Bal” option to check balance.
Each USSD code is free and needs no internet access. This is separate from your airtime balance or how data sharing.
It is also important to note that you can dial *127*0# to check your Glo data balance. Although the *127# itself has been discontinued, the short code still works for data balance.
How to Check Glo Data Balance via SMS
When the network is slow and USSD keeps failing, I send INFO to 312. Glo will reply immediately with my data balance, active subscription and expiry date.
How to Check Glo Data Balance on the Glo Café App
If you still have an active data balance and simply want to check your data, you can open the Glo Café app to view your data balance and plan information on the home screen. Your Glo data balance shows on the home screen under your airtime balance. That’s just a click (when you tap to open the app).
If you don’t have a Glo Café, you can download it from your device store. Sign up with your Glo number and email, which are the details required to create the account.
How to Check Glo Data Balance Online
Are you using a Glo SIM in a modem or MiFi? Visit hsi.glo.com while connected on the Glo network. The page shows your Glo data balance and number automatically.
Note that this channel may not work for you. As you can see in the image below, the number and data balance section is blank.
Glo Data Balance Not Showing? Quick Fixes
These fixes have worked for me when network or USSD issues stop your data balance from showing:
- Check your signal, then dial the code again.
- Restart your phone if the USSD session times out.
- If you just subscribed, wait a few minutes for your balance to be updated.
- You can also try the SMS method or the app instead.
